System Requirements for Making Games
The AGS Editor runs on Windows 2000, XP or Vista.
You need to have the .NET Framework 2.0 (or later) installed in order to run the editor. The installer will tell you if you don't have this and need to download it.
System Requirements for Playing Games
Games you create will run on Windows 2000, XP and Vista. The hardware accelerated graphics driver requires DirectX 9 or later.
The .NET framework is not required by people playing your games.
Download for Windows
The main download includes the AGS Editor, the Windows version of the game engine and the demo game.
Always use Right-Click, Save Target As with download links.

NOTE: You can't upgrade old games that were made with versions older than AGS 2.72. If you have a game built with 2.71 or earlier, please download AGS 2.72 from the link further down this page and use that to upgrade your game first.
